Linda G. Sears, CPA, CSEP, CLU, ChFC
Linda G. Sears is a Certified Public Accountant and holder of the designations of Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant.
Ms. Sears received her B.A. in accounting from the University of South Florida in 1982. For the next six years she practiced public accounting, concentrating in the area of taxation of individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates and trusts.
Ms. Sears has worked as a financial consultant in the areas of retirement, financial and estate planning with her clients and their professional advisors. Ms. Sears served nationally as an advanced marketing consultant in the areas of estate, retirement and business planning and taxation for Canada Life Insurance Company. She has also served as Director of Advanced Marketing in the Atlanta office of Prudential Preferred Insurance Company where she advised agents, their clients and the clients’ professional advisors in the areas of estate, retirement and business planning and taxation.
Ms. Sears joined with our firm in 1996, Ms. Sears is manager of the Estate, Gift & Trust department and is responsible for the preparation of estate, gift and trust, tax returns and estate and retirement planning.
Ms. Sears speaks to various business and professional organizations in the areas of estate, business and retirement planning, including the Atlanta Chapter of the American Women Society of CPAs, the Atlanta Chapter of American Women Lawyers, the Atlanta Chapter of Women Life Underwriters Confederation and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. She also has spoken before the general public in these same areas of interest and concern.
Ms. Sears is a member of the Estate Planning Council of North Georgia, the American Institute of CPAs and the Georgia Society of CPAs.
Her non-business interests include hiking, scuba diving, snow skiing, snow mobiling, reading and travel in the US and abroad.
